Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School Named LDOE Comeback Campus | Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce

Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School Named Comeback Campus by LDOE NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA – On December 5, 2022, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) announced 41 Comeback Campuses across the state of Louisiana. The Natchitoches Parish School Board is proud to have Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School on the list of Comeback Campuses.

Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School is being celebrated for its achievements and the impact its teachers and staff have made, despite facing two years of unprecedented obstacles.

Louisiana Comeback Campuses are schools that are performing at higher levels in reading and math than before the pandemic. These schools increased the percentage of students scoring Mastery and above and decreased the percentage of students scoring unsatisfactory in both math and ELA on 2022 statewide assessments when compared to 2019.

Leaders from LDOE will be visiting these campuses, including Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School over the next few months to personally congratulate educators and students, as well as to conduct a learning walk. The learning walk around campus will allow LDOE leaders to see the specific efforts that led to student growth and better understand how they can be used to benefit students across Louisiana.

The Natchitoches Parish School Board would like to congratulate Marthaville Elementary/Jr. High School and its students and educators for their success!!
