250 students were enrolled for 9th grade in Concordia Parish schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 250 ninth grade students enrolled in Concordia Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 12% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Vidalia High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Concordia Parish schools, the most students were found in eighth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Concordia Parish ranked 25th lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 24th lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
