U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., recently shared updates on his official Twitter account regarding collaboration with both President Biden and President Trump on key legislative and policy initiatives.

On July 30, 2025, Cassidy posted about an event at the White House, stating: “Leaving the White House after a great event, where @POTUS laid out a pro-patient vision for the future of digital health. It’s an important mission, and I’m ready to work with him to achieve it.”

The following day, July 31, 2025, Cassidy addressed Senate proceedings concerning presidential nominees. He wrote: “Senate Republicans are working to advance President Trump’s nominees despite historic obstruction from Democrats. The Senate has not confirmed a single nominee by unanimous consent. No other president has dealt with this. We will continue working with President Trump to advance”.

Later that same day, Cassidy referenced legislation related to combating fentanyl trafficking. He quoted former President Trump: “‘One of the more important things that we will ever sign.’ That’s what President Trump said when he signed my HALT Fentanyl Act. It gives law enforcement the tools to go after the fentanyl traffickers killing Americans. Read more about our work together here:”

Senator Bill Cassidy represents Louisiana in the U.S. Senate and is known for his involvement in healthcare policy and efforts addressing substance abuse issues.
