U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., recently shared updates on social media highlighting his activities and perspectives related to Louisiana students, local cuisine, and national public health policy.
On September 16, 2025, Cassidy posted about a recent event for aspiring service academy students in Lafayette: “What a great turnout this past weekend for our annual Service Academy Day in Lafayette! It was incredible to see so many bright Louisiana students and their families exploring the path to serve our country. The future is in great hands!”
The following day, September 17, 2025, Cassidy commented on Louisiana’s culinary influence at a Washington dinner: “I went to a dinner in Washington which served boudin balls from Comeaux‘s in Breaux Bridge. These were some of the best boudin balls I’ve ever had. Louisiana making a great impression upon the food scene in DC.”
Later that same day, he addressed federal health leadership and transparency: “I want President Trump to have the best CDC in our nation’s history. Radical Transparency is the only way. I am committed to hearing from Secretary Kennedy as well.”
Senator Cassidy has previously been involved with initiatives supporting education opportunities for Louisiana youth and promoting state culture at the national level. As a physician and legislator, he has also advocated for increased transparency within federal health agencies.
