A boil water advisory for the Wycliffe Way area in Alexandria, Louisiana, has been lifted as of October 22, 2025. The advisory was initially put in place on October 20 after City of Alexandria personnel repaired a six-inch water main.
Superintendent of Water Operations Barrett Dezendorf stated that the State of Louisiana conducted tests on the water supply and found the results to be clear. “The State of Louisiana has tested the water, and the results of the tests are clear,” said Dezendorf.
The Alexandria Water Department is advising businesses and residents along Wycliffe Way to take several steps now that the advisory has ended. These include running cold-water faucets for one minute, running drinking water fountains for one minute, flushing automatic icemakers by making three batches of ice and discarding them, running water softeners through a regeneration cycle, and running water coolers with direct connections for five minutes.
