U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) addressed the Turning Point USA chapter at Louisiana State University on October 2, 2025. During his remarks, Cassidy paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, and emphasized his commitment to promoting conservative principles in Washington.

“Charlie Kirk inspired students to defend freedom, faith, and the values that America was built on,” said Dr. Cassidy. “It’s up to us to carry that legacy forward in Louisiana and across America.”

Mark Schoeppel, Director of Recruitment and Outreach for the LSU chapter of Turning Point USA, expressed appreciation for Cassidy’s participation. “We had a terrific time hosting Senator Cassidy at our meeting,” said Mr. Schoeppel. “At a moment where discourse is invaluable, we greatly appreciate the Senator taking time to discuss crucial issues with constituents and young conservatives.”
