Cassidy secures over $1.3 billion in federal funds for Louisiana

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) announced that he has secured $1,323,770.00 in federal funding for Louisiana as part of a package of appropriations bills for fiscal year 2026. The funding is included in the Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development; Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education; Defense; Financial Services and General Government; and National Security and Department of State appropriations bills.

The legislation is now awaiting the signature of President Donald Trump.

“We need better national security and a stronger, safer Louisiana. That’s what a $1.3 billion investment gets you,” said Dr. Cassidy.

A detailed list of the funding allocated to Louisiana was made available by Senator Cassidy’s office.
