U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy visited RNGD’s Southeast Region campus in Metairie on Friday, meeting with employees and touring the facility. The visit highlighted the company’s role in regional infrastructure development and workforce growth.
“RNGD is a Louisiana company employing people from Louisiana as they build structures across the south. President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts bill gives more opportunity to create more jobs, and lets those workers keep more of their hard-earned money. I was glad to support it,” said Dr. Cassidy.
Cassidy noted that his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has directed over $10 billion to Louisiana, much of which supports improvements to roads, bridges, and highways throughout the state. Companies like RNGD are among those carrying out projects funded by this legislation.
He also referenced his support for President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts bill, which made permanent certain income tax reductions established by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and included provisions to help small businesses expense capital investments.
During his visit, Cassidy discussed RNGD’s recent $25 million investment to consolidate its Southeast Region campus. This initiative will retain 265 jobs locally and is expected to add 130 new positions. The campus also houses Renegade Academy, a training center offering professional and workforce development programs.
Jerry Bologna, President and CEO of the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO), accompanied Cassidy on the tour. JEDCO played a role in supporting RNGD’s expansion in Jefferson Parish.
“RNGD’s decision to deepen its presence in Jefferson Parish has helped create more high-paying jobs and opportunities in our community while also amplifying the global message that JP is a destination for business, innovation and economic growth,” said Mr. Bologna. “Senator Cassidy’s visit to the state-of-the-art, 14-acre campus provides a special recognition of the company’s significant investment in Jefferson Parish and highlights the attention that this project has received on a national scale.”
