Central Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on April 13.
The Chamber congratulates Cleco for investing $900 million to build Diamond Vault, a carbon sequestration project that will capture and store underground 95% of the carbon emitted from its largest electricity plant in Rapides Parish. The project will create 40 new permanent jobs and 1,600 construction jobs.
