The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes Dustin Dauzat as their new Director of Development. As a resident of Natchitoches since 2003, and in much of his career, he has been involved in the community in a variety of ways, including serving the Chamber as an ambassador and ambassador chair and recently graduating from the Chamber’s Leadership Natchitoches Program. He has over 15 years of experience working in the financial service industry and in customer service. He and his wife, Gretchen, have four children – Elise, Luke, Owen, & Andrew.

In his new role at the Chamber, Dauzat will serve as a chief revenue generator for the Natchitoches Chamber and Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance (NEDA). In addition, he will serve as the staff lead for community initiatives such as Leadership Natchitoches, A+ Coalition, Natchitoches Young Professionals, the #GoNatchitoches campaign, and the Chamber Ambassadors.

Chamber President, Laura Lyles, stated, “As the Chamber has evolved in its role in the community, so has our need for dedicated staff and increased financial support for our growing list of community initiatives. Dustin has the passion, the experience, and the dedication to help move the needle for Natchitoches Parish”.

“I have had the opportunity to work with the Chamber for many years as a volunteer through our ambassador program and most recently, a graduate of its Leadership Natchitoches program,” says Dauzat. “Leadership Natchitoches had an immediate, positive impact and motivated me to do more for Natchitoches Parish. At the Chamber, our mission is to champion business, connect community, and cultivate growth. I am looking forward to serving not just our community but our members. I want them to understand the benefit of being a chamber member and see that they can turn to us for assistance or use our resources to help their business grow and evolve. The response has been very welcoming, and I am thankful for everyone’s support.”

Dauzat’s position was created shortly after the departure of long-time Chamber staff member, Maggie Matuschka, who is now serving as the Special Events Coordinator at the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce in Northwest Arkansas. The Chamber extends its support to the Matuschka family and thanks Maggie for her years of hard work and dedication to the Natchitoches community.

The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce helps foster a thriving community through transformative leadership, collaboration, and innovation. The Chamber is committed to its mission to champion business, connect community, and cultivate growth in Natchitoches Parish.
