Congresswoman Julia Letlow, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Louisiana’s 5th district since 2021, shared several updates through her social media account. Her posts reflect a range of topics from public health achievements to historical commemorations and economic discussions.

On June 5, 2025, Letlow expressed gratitude towards law enforcement and educational initiatives in Livingston Parish for their role in reducing overdose deaths. She stated, “Thanks to skilled law enforcement and effective education campaigns in places like Livingston Parish, overdose deaths are declining and lives are being saved.”

The following day, on June 6, 2025, Letlow paid tribute to the soldiers involved in D-Day on its 81st anniversary. She acknowledged their significant impact on history by saying, “On the 81st Anniversary of D-Day, we honor the brave Allied soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy and changed the course of history.”

Later that same day, Letlow met with representatives from Louisiana Realtors to discuss various economic issues. She noted this meeting by stating, “Great visit in my office with Louisiana Realtors to discuss housing and other issues facing our economy.”

Julia Letlow was born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1981 and currently resides in Start. She holds a BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
