John Kennedy, U.S. Senator from Louisiana, posted several statements on his Twitter account in late July 2025, addressing topics ranging from international trade to domestic policy and political polarization.

On July 28, 2025, Kennedy praised former President Donald Trump’s approach to international negotiations with the European Union. In his tweet, he stated: “President Trump is guided by the principle that if you’re going to be a bear, be a grizzly. That’s how he brought the E.U. to the table and made a deal that’s inarguably a gigantic WIN for America.”

Later the same day, Kennedy commented on partisan politics in the United States. He wrote: “Most Americans agree: Republicans aren’t perfect, but the other side is crazy.” (July 28, 2025).

On July 29, 2025, Kennedy turned his attention to housing issues and legislative proposals. He highlighted rising barriers to homeownership and promoted his own legislative effort: “It is stunning that the median age of a first-time home buyer in America today is 38. We’ve got a problem. By incentivizing cities to slash red tape and start building homes again, my Build Now Act would help open the door to homeownership.”

Senator John Kennedy has been an advocate for reducing regulatory barriers at local levels as part of efforts to address housing affordability across the country.
