John Kennedy, U.S. Senator from Louisiana, used his social media account to comment on recent political developments involving the Biden administration and ongoing debates over healthcare policy.
On October 10, 2025, Kennedy wrote, “It’s clearer than ever that Democrat partisans under President Biden and his Justice Department were weaponizing the government every other Thursday.”
The following day, he addressed the issue of a government shutdown in relation to healthcare subsidies: “Democrats say this shutdown is about extending Obamacare subsidies. Subsidies or no subsidies, the damn thing is broken. We were told that if we passed Obamacare, health insurance would be cheaper and more accessible. It’s been neither.” This statement was posted on October 11, 2025.
Later that same day, Kennedy commented on actions by federal law enforcement leadership: “If federal agents knock at my door, I don’t want to have to worry about whether they’re Republicans or Democrats. That’s why it’s so important that AG Bondi and FBI Director Patel are getting rid of the bad apples that weaponized the law under President Biden.”
Senator Kennedy’s remarks come amid heightened partisan debate regarding both federal investigations and healthcare policy. The Affordable Care Act (commonly known as Obamacare) has been a recurring point of contention since its passage in 2010, with critics arguing it has not fulfilled promises of lower costs and increased accessibility for all Americans.
