The following day, he addressed the issue of a government shutdown in relation to healthcare subsidies: “Democrats say this shutdown is about extending Obamacare subsidies. Subsidies or no subsidies, the damn thing is broken. We were told that if we passed Obamacare, health insurance would be cheaper and more accessible.
