John Kennedy, a prominent political figure, recently shared his opinions on social media regarding certain public figures and government spending decisions. His comments reflect a critical stance on ethical standards and fiscal policies.

On July 10, 2025, Kennedy expressed his disapproval of former officials James Comey and John Brennan by stating that he would prefer to employ “the guy who salts the fries at McDonald’s” over them. He emphasized his belief that they are “not ethical people” and added that if they broke the law, accountability should follow. The full post can be viewed here.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Kennedy criticized federal spending under President Biden’s administration. He pointed out that $3 million was allocated for an Iraqi version of “Sesame Street,” $500,000 for electric buses in Rwanda, and $67,000 to feed insect powder to children in Madagascar. He remarked incredulously about the latter expenditure: “You read that right. Insect powder.” This comment is accessible here.

Additionally, Kennedy highlighted efforts made by former President Trump to curb what he terms as “spending porn” within the federal budget. According to Kennedy’s tweet from July 10, Trump entered office with a mission to reduce wasteful expenditures through early work done by DOGE (an abbreviation for Deficit Operation Group Efficiency). Kennedy believes some of the spending decisions approved during Biden’s term are particularly excessive and surprising. The complete tweet is available here.
