Congresswoman Julia Letlow, representing Louisiana’s 5th district since 2021, has been actively sharing updates and opinions through her social media. Her recent tweets cover a range of topics from agricultural support programs to energy policies and community engagement.

On March 19, 2025, Letlow announced the opening of the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP) for applications. She highlighted that this funding is aimed at providing “targeted support for our farmers who faced significant headwinds in 2024,” attributing its passage to her efforts alongside Representative Trent Kelly with their FARM Act. “The Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP) is now open for applications.”

A day later, on March 20, 2025, Letlow criticized Secretary Granholm’s handling of a study related to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). She claimed that Granholm had previously buried a study from 2023 which indicated that LNG benefits both the economy and environment. Letlow emphasized her commitment to defending American-made energy in her post. “In March 2024, @SecGranholm told Congress about a forthcoming ‘complicated’ study on Liquefied Natural Gas.”

On March 21, 2025, Letlow expressed enthusiasm about local youth involvement in community activities through the 4-H program in Concordia Parish. She shared her delight at seeing students engage with healthy new recipes as part of their activities. “Love seeing our 4-H students in Concordia Parish getting involved in community activities and trying out healthy new recipes!”
