Congresswoman Julia Letlow, representing Louisiana’s 5th district since 2021, recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. These posts highlight her appreciation for leadership transitions at Louisiana State University (LSU), the dedication of foster parents in Louisiana, and efforts to combat human trafficking.
On May 20, Letlow expressed gratitude towards President Tate for his service during LSU’s period of rapid growth. She also conveyed her anticipation to collaborate with Interim President Matt Lee, whom she described as “a longtime champion of LSU, Agriculture, and Louisiana students.” “Thanks to President Tate for his dedicated service at a time of rapid growth for @LSU. Later that day, Letlow acknowledged National Foster Care Month by expressing her gratitude towards foster parents in Louisiana. She noted their “selfless sacrifice” in supporting children in need. “During National Foster Care Month, I’m incredibly thankful for the selfless sacrifice that Louisiana’s foster parents make to support children in need.”
On May 22, Letlow thanked Secretary Rubio for his commitment to addressing human trafficking issues. Her message underscored the importance of holding traffickers accountable. “Thank you @SecRubio for your commitment to holding human traffickers accountable.”
Letlow has been serving in Congress since replacing Ralph Abraham in 2021. Born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1981 and currently residing in Start, she graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BA in 2002.
