Congresswoman Julia Letlow, representing Louisiana’s 5th district since 2021, has recently expressed her views on various legislative matters through a series of tweets. Her posts reflect her stance on government accountability, support for local industries, and regulatory reforms.

On March 12, 2025, Congresswoman Letlow announced her support for the Pandemic Unemployment Fraud Enforcement Act. She stated: “I was proud to vote for the Pandemic Unemployment Fraud Enforcement Act to make it easier to prosecute fraudsters who wrongfully stole benefits from taxpayers. We must eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in government.”

Later that day, at 17:00 UTC, she shared her co-sponsorship of the Save Our Shrimpers Act. In her tweet, she emphasized: “I’m proud to cosponsor @RepTroyNehls’ Save Our Shrimpers Act to ensure federal funds aren’t used to undercut our Louisiana seafood producers, who are often forced to compete against a flood of foreign imports.”

In another post at 22:00 UTC on the same day, Letlow criticized President Biden’s Waters of the U.S. rules while praising former President Trump’s actions. She wrote: “President Biden’s Waters of the U.S. rules represented massive government overreach, adding bureaucracy and uncertainty to the lives of our farmers. By fixing Biden’s unconstitutional WOTUS regulations, President Trump is providing relief for Louisiana farmers and landowners.”
