Sen. John Kennedy announced on May 5 that his office will host a passport acceptance event in partnership with the New Orleans Passport Agency to assist Louisiana residents with applying for or renewing their passports.
The event is scheduled for May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the East Regional Library – Lafayette Public Library, located at 215 La Neuville Road in Youngsville, Louisiana.
“As summer travel planning picks up, my staff and the New Orleans Passport Agency are working together to help constituents apply for or renew their passports. I’m honored to help put on this event in Lafayette Parish, and I hope it helps make this process as easy as possible for Louisianians,” said Kennedy.
Applicants are required to bring a completed passport application, a recent passport photo (2″ by 2″, taken within the last six months), government-issued identification, proof of U.S. citizenship, and payment via credit/debit card or Apple/Google Pay; cash, checks, and money orders will not be accepted. Those interested can contact Kathy Manuel at (337) 541-7990 or Christy Tate at (337) 541-7991 with questions.
