Natchitoches, LA, February 14, 2023 – The Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) is pleased to announce that it will be offering free tax preparation services for senior adults and college students of Natchitoches Parish. The tax preparation services will be available Thursday and Friday, March 16 and 17, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the NPL Main Branch. This service is offered to all seniors and college students, regardless of their income or background, and will be provided by the certified tax professionals of Community Tax Services, of Baton Rouge. Attendees are encouraged to book an appointment by calling 318-238-9224 to ensure they are seen. Walk-ins are accepted as time allows.
The tax preparation services offered at the NPL will include assistance with federal and state tax forms, including the 1040 and 1040EZ. Community Tax Services staff will help individuals navigate the complex tax code, identify tax deductions and credits, and complete their tax forms accurately.
“We are excited to be able to offer this valuable service to our community,” said Jessica McGrath. “We know that tax season can be stressful and confusing for many people, and we want to provide a resource that can help make the process easier and more accessible.”
The NPL offers a wide range of services and resources to residents of Natchitoches Parish.
