U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., recently highlighted several developments in Louisiana and national policy through a series of posts on his official X account.
On December 5, 2025, Cassidy announced new investments for Louisiana communities: “Proud to have helped secure $6.8M in Delta Regional Authority investments for communities across Louisiana. These 18 projects will strengthen water systems, improve roads and airports, support small businesses, and create or retain over 1,000 jobs. This is how we build a”. The Delta Regional Authority is a federal-state partnership focused on economic development in the Mississippi Delta region.
The following day, December 6, Cassidy congratulated Tulane University’s football team after their recent success: “Congrats @GreenWaveFB on winning another conference title!! #RollWave https://t.co/9QZHX2Gk8O”.
Later that same day, Cassidy referenced ongoing efforts to address addiction recovery at the federal level: “.@POTUS and I are working together to fight addiction and help those in recovery. Thank you, Mr. President for signing my SUPPORT Act and for your partnership! https://t.co/AlBrVtKt8O”. The SUPPORT Act refers to bipartisan legislation aimed at combating the opioid crisis by expanding access to treatment and recovery services.
Senator Cassidy represents Louisiana in the U.S. Senate and has been active in both state-level infrastructure initiatives and national health policy efforts.
