U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., has recently taken to social media to express his views on federal spending, education policy, and political developments in Washington, D.C. Through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Cassidy criticized government funding priorities and raised concerns about educational content related to Israel.

On October 10, 2025, Cassidy wrote: “Americans’ tax dollars should never be used to fund the killing of unborn children or dangerous gender transition procedures. We need to end the Schumer Shutdown so we can make health care more affordable, not subsidize Democrats’ radical anti-family, anti-patient agenda.” The post refers to ongoing debates over federal funding for abortion and gender-affirming healthcare procedures, as well as a government shutdown attributed by Cassidy to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Later that day, Cassidy addressed education issues in another post dated October 10, 2025: “A day after the anniversary of the October 7th massacre, NEA is pushing teachers to indoctrinate our children with the antisemitic lie that Israel doesn’t have a right to exist. This is a dangerous attempt to erase thousands of years of Jewish history in their ancestral homeland.” In this statement, he accused the National Education Association (NEA) of promoting what he described as antisemitic narratives in U.S. classrooms regarding Israel’s legitimacy.

On October 11, 2025, Cassidy posted a brief comment about political dysfunction in Washington: “This headline says what is wrong with D.C.”

Senator Bill Cassidy represents Louisiana in the U.S. Senate and has been vocal on matters concerning healthcare policy and Middle East affairs. His remarks follow recent tensions over government spending priorities and ongoing disputes over curriculum content in American schools.
