U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., posted a series of updates on social media highlighting his recent activities in Louisiana, including meetings with local organizations and the announcement of new funding for business development.

On April 7, 2026, Cassidy wrote about his engagement with the South Central Industrial Association in Louisiana: “Great discussion with @SCIA_Louisiana today. Whether it’s flood recovery and protection or supporting our shipbuilders and ports, I’m excited to keep delivering for the Bayou region!”

On April 8, 2026, Cassidy announced new federal support for small businesses in Jefferson Parish: “Great to be in Jefferson Parish today to announce $3.7 MILLION in funding I secured for the JEDCO Food & Beverage Incubator! Senator Cassidy serves as chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and sits on several other committees including Finance; Energy and Natural Resources; and Veterans Affairs (official website).
