U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., shared a series of posts on November 1 and 2, 2025, covering topics ranging from local visits in Louisiana to comments on antisemitism in U.S. politics.
On November 1, Cassidy posted about his visit to a well-known eatery in Lecompte, Louisiana: “Stopped by Lea’s Lunchroom today for some of the best pie in the world! Also had a great conversation with Amy about the importance of dyslexia screening for students. We are working to improve screening, so every student can succeed.” Later that day, he added another message focused on his meal: “Got the coconut meringue pie from Lea’s in Lecompte. It was as good as it looks!”
In a separate post on November 2, Cassidy addressed concerns over antisemitism within U.S. political discourse: “Antisemitism is wrong. The political Right should not consider this a credible topic of conversation. It has been embedded in the political Left since at least October 7th, but it is wrong no matter where on the political spectrum. This is not something to idly consider.”
Senator Cassidy represents Louisiana and has previously advocated for increased awareness and improved screening measures for dyslexia among students. His remarks regarding antisemitism come amid ongoing national debates about rising incidents of hate speech and polarization across party lines.
