U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., has recently posted several updates on his social media account, covering topics ranging from public health to college athletics.
On September 12, 2025, Cassidy shared a brief message: “When you’re Wright, you’re right!”
The following day, on September 13, 2025, Cassidy addressed the risks of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in infants. He stated: “RSV is the #1 cause of infant hospitalization in the U.S. It’s a serious & life-threatening respiratory disease & especially dangerous to babies. Babies can be protected by a maternal immunization, where antibodies are passed to a child, or immunization to a child after birth.” RSV is widely recognized as a significant cause of severe respiratory illness among young children in the United States.
Later that same day, Cassidy commented on Louisiana State University football player Garrett Nussmeier’s recent achievements: “Great to see a Louisiana native like Garrett Nussmeier getting the national recognition he deserves. Even in the transfer portal era, he stayed loyal to @LSUfootball, now he’s showing the country what he can do. #GeauxTigers” LSU football and its athletes have often been highlighted for their performance and commitment within collegiate sports.
Senator Cassidy is known for his background as both a physician and legislator representing Louisiana in the U.S. Senate.
