John Kennedy, a U.S. Senator, recently shared his views on public broadcasting, international policing roles, and a Supreme Court decision through a series of tweets.
On June 17, 2025, Kennedy expressed his opinion regarding public broadcasting services such as NPR and PBS. He stated that “(6/8) Even if the content on NPR and PBS was fair, the American people no longer need public broadcasting to access the news of the day.” He further criticized federal funding for these organizations in light of the national debt by saying that with more than $37 trillion in federal debt, “the idea of giving these organizations a single penny is bone-deep, down-to-the-marrow stupid.”
The following day, on June 18, 2025, Kennedy addressed global geopolitical dynamics. He tweeted about America’s role in international affairs: “I don’t want America to be the world’s policeman—but I don’t want China, Russia, and Iran to be the world’s policemen either.“
Later that same day, he commented on a recent Supreme Court ruling concerning state rights over medical procedures for minors. Kennedy supported the decision by stating: “The Supreme Court got it right: states are allowed to protect kids from life-altering procedures.“
