The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center welcomes you to visit The Legacy Garden Farm Stand. The Legacy Garden is the Ben D. Johnson Educational Center’s Community Garden. The Legacy Garden is nurtured by BDJ staff, volunteers, and students. To preserve our garden’s natural ecosystem, the Legacy Garden crops are grown without the use of any harmful or synthetic chemicals.
The Legacy Garden Farm stand is excited to be partnered with Good Roots. Through our partnership, in addition to The Legacy Garden crops, we have the pleasure of featuring crops grown locally in the Natchitoches community at our farm stand.
The Legacy Garden Farm Stand is located outside The Legacy Café at 400 MLK Drive. We’re open on Fridays from 11 am to 1:30 pm. All produce is sold on a sliding scale. This means you name the price on what you feel our produce is worth!
Come visit us on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 am to 1 pm to buy fresh local produce. For information and updates on the Legacy Garden Farm Stand, follow us on Facebook. If you are interested in donating or volunteering at our farm stand please contact us through the information provided below. We look forward to seeing you relish in summer with produce from the Legacy Garden Farm Stand!
