Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Needs Volunteers

At Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, community members give generously of their time and talents to help the hospital and its facilities better serve patients, residents and families. Volunteers provide many services including assisting administrative departments, special projects on the nursing floors, customer experience improvement, help in the nursery, surgery and intensive care waiting rooms, and more. Currently, NRMC's greatest area of needs are as follows:

  • Human Resources – Answering phones, filing, greeting associates and directing to appropriate person/area (3-4 people – 4 hour shifts on any weekday between 8:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.)
  • Patient Access – Phone operator, transporting/escorting patients to other departments, gift shop duties (3 people – 4 hour shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
  • Medical Records – Special Project – Removing staples, looking for misfiled pages, scanning documents (2-3 people – 4 hour shifts on any weekday between 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.)
We typically ask for a commitment of 8 volunteer hours per month for a minimum of 3 months, but exceptions can be made for special projects.

As a way of saying thank you, the hospital treats all volunteers to a complimentary meal on the days they volunteer at least 4 hours.
