There were 251 Black students enrolled in Caldwell Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 8.4% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Caldwell Parish School District welcomed 1,587 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 15.8% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Caldwell Parish School District roughly covers schools within Caldwell Parish and has a main office in Columbia.

Among the eight schools in Caldwell Parish School District, Union Central Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 74 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
