There were 399 Black students enrolled in Catahoula Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.4% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Catahoula Parish School District welcomed 1,027 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 38.9% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Catahoula Parish School District roughly covers schools within Catahoula Parish and has a main office in Harrisonburg.

Among the six schools in Catahoula Parish School District, Jonesville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 134 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
