Enrollment at Rapides Parish School District schools decreased by 2% compared to previous school year

There were 22,138 students enrolled in Rapides Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Rapides Parish School District students was white, with 48.9% of students identifying as white.

Rapides Parish School District covers approximately 47 schools within Rapides Parish, with its main office in Alexandria.

Among the 47 schools in Rapides Parish School District, Alexandria Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,331 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.
