Winn Parish schools welcomed 163 9th grade students in 2021-22 school year

There were 163 ninth grade students enrolled in Winn Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 40.5% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Winnfield High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Winn Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while third grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Winn Parish ranked 13th lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 11th lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
