90 students were enrolled for 9th grade in Catahoula Parish schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 90 ninth grade students enrolled in Catahoula Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 13.9% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Block High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Catahoula Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Catahoula Parish ranked third lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked second lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
