Louisiana to receive $5.9 million in Hurricane Ida and Laura relief funds

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive $5,940,149.51 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for relief efforts related to Hurricanes Ida and Laura.

“Hurricane Laura and Ida physically impacted our communities, but it did not rattle our resiliency,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This money will help South Louisiana rebuild and prepare for the next storm.”
