U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that New Orleans and Calcasieu Parish will receive $4,574,736.35 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for flood protection and emergency preparedness.

“The best way to prevent future devastation is to put precautions in place like these wind retrofits, generators, and stormwater drainage systems,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help South Louisiana be prepared when the next storm hits.”
