U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana will receive $144,330,926.38 in funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to aid recovery efforts for Hurricanes Ida and Laura.

“Years later, our communities are still recovering from Ida and Laura. We’ve made progress, but there’s still work to do,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will return many to wholeness and prepare us to weather the next storm.”

The announcement underscores ongoing efforts to assist communities impacted by these significant weather events.
