Enrollment Analysis: American Indian students comprised 0.1% of Winn Parish's student body in 2023-24 school year

There was one American Indian student enrolled in Winn Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 66.7% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Winn Parish welcomed 1,811 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Calvin High School was the only school in the parish which enrolled American Indian students, welcoming one student in the 2023-24 school year.

According to a 2023 Scholaroo study, Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, ranking second-to-last behind Arizona. The state ranked poorly in key metrics such as school quality, student achievement, and teacher-student ratios.
