Cassidy announces FEMA funds for generators in St. Bernard Parish

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana will receive nearly $4.8 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for generator projects in St. Bernard Parish, following the impact of Hurricane Ida. The funding will be used to purchase, install, and manage 18 permanent generators to ensure backup power for critical facilities. This initiative aims to maintain continuity of services and support recovery efforts during natural disasters.

Senator Cassidy emphasized the importance of preparedness, stating, "Putting precautions in place is the best way to prevent future devastation." He added that these generators would assist St. Bernard Parish in maintaining essential services during storms.
