Boil Advisory Issued for Benjamin Street in Alexandria, Louisiana

Alexandria, Louisiana— Repairs to a 6-inch water main on Benjamin Street has resulted in the need for a boil water advisory, according to Luis Saucier, Assistant Superintendent of the Water Department."Because water pressure was lost during the repair process, the water in the affected area may have been compromised," said Saucier.As a precautionary measure, the Alexandria Water Department has issued a boil advisory for customers located in the area highlighted on the attached map.
