Census Bureau: 67.5 percent of people in Fort Polk South were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 9,048 citizens living in Fort Polk South in 2019, 6,109 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 1,947 of those people were female and 4,162 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
