The Taste of Beauregard: The Battle of the Paddle Gumbo Cookoff takes place on Saturday, February 18 at the Beauregard Parish Fairgrounds. Visit each chef's outdoor kitchen and sample their creations! Anyone can enter from Amateur to Professional for a chance at prizes and bragging rights. Cooking begins at 7:00 until 12:00. Winners announced at 1:30 PM.

At the Outdoor Pavilion. Please enter at the entrance gate on West Drive.
Date/Time Information: Saturday, February 18, 2023 7:00a.m.-2:00 p.m.
1. No open fires (gas, coals OK)
2. 10’X10′ canopy allowed per entry
3. Participants are encouraged, but NOT REQUIRED to prepare enough food to allow patrons to taste, within reason. (we will provide 4 oz. bowls and sporks for tasting). Don’t prepare more than you are comfortable with for your recipe’s best taste. Prepare for a minimum off 100 community tasting cups and judges tasting bowls.
5. Tasting is on a first come first serve basis and participant may stop providing samples at their discretion in order to have enough food for judges tasting.
6. Cooking time will be from 7:00 until 11:30 on Saturday.
7. Dishes MUST be ready for judging by 12:00 pm.
8. Winners announced 1:30 pm. **Participants are welcome to sell bowls of gumbo if they would like. We suggest $5 per bowl. You must provide your own bowls & spoons. Participants keep all proceeds.
