2021-22 School Year Enrollment: 561 9th grade students welcomed in Avoyelles Parish schools

There were 561 ninth grade students enrolled in Avoyelles Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.8% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Bunkie Magnet High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Avoyelles Parish schools, the most students were found in ninth grade classes, while fourth grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Avoyelles Parish ranked 27th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 28th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
