5,732 students enrolled in Beauregard Parish schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 5,732 students enrolled in Beauregard Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 0.5% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 52.1% of them were boys, and 47.9% were girls.

Data also showed that white students made up 77.4% of the student body, the largest percentage in the parish, followed by 10.1% Black students, 5.9% Hispanic students and 0.4% Asian students.

South Beauregard High School had the highest enrolment among Beauregard Parish's schools in the 2023-24 school year, welcoming 761 students.

According to a 2023 Scholaroo study, Louisiana's education system ranked 49th in the U.S., only ahead of Arizona. The state ranked poorly in key metrics such as school quality, student achievement, and student safety.
