Caldwell Parish Education: 1,348 students were enrolled in 2023-24 school year

There were 1,348 students enrolled in Caldwell Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 4.1% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also showed that white students made up 79.3% of the student body, the largest percentage in the parish, followed by 15.1% Black students, 2.6% Hispanic students and 0.1% Asian students.

Caldwell Parish High School had the highest enrolment among Caldwell Parish's schools in the 2023-24 school year, welcoming 397 students.

According to a 2023 Scholaroo study, Louisiana's education system ranked 49th in the U.S., only ahead of Arizona. The state ranked poorly in key metrics such as school quality, student achievement, and student safety.
