Census Bureau: 75.1% of people in Vernon Parish were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 49,064 citizens living in Vernon Parish in 2021, 75.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 36,866 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 19,930 were male, constituting 54.1%, and 16,936 were female, making up 45.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Vernon Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
