There were 37 American Indian students enrolled in Lasalle Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.5% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Lasalle Parish School District welcomed 2,553 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 1.4% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the district.

Lasalle Parish School District roughly covers schools within LaSalle Parish and has a main office in Jena.

Among the nine schools in Lasalle Parish School District, Jena High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 11 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
