Washington - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) has declared that the Houma Terrebonne Housing Authority will be receiving $1,575,626.60 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for emergency protective measures in response to Hurricane Ida. Dr. Cassidy emphasized the importance of this funding, stating, "While Hurricane Ida recovery continues, South Louisiana remains resilient." He further added, "This funding will help restore Terrebonne Parish and make sure our bayou communities are equipped to weather future storms."

The allocation of $1.6 million for Terrebonne Parish comes as a significant support for the ongoing recovery efforts in the region following the impact of Hurricane Ida.
