U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana will receive $9,866,737.76 in federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This allocation is intended for relief efforts related to Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Ida, and seawater intrusion.

Senator Cassidy emphasized the importance of this funding for the state: “Louisiana is a beacon of strength and resilience through any storm,” he stated. “This funding will help restore our communities, prepare for future hurricanes, and ensure they are equipped with clean water.”

The funds aim to support recovery and preparation measures in affected areas across Louisiana.
