Cassidy Announces $14.7 Million for Louisiana in Hurricanes Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) has revealed that Louisiana is set to receive $14,730,189.49 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to aid in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief efforts.

Dr. Cassidy emphasized the importance of this financial assistance, stating, "Schools, law enforcement, churches, and hospitals are all pillars of our communities." He further added, "This funding will help each of them continue their recovery from the storms and in turn uplift our state."

The allocated funds are earmarked to support various essential sectors that have been significantly impacted by the devastating hurricanes, contributing to the recovery and resilience of the state of Louisiana.
