Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) announced Laura Arnold as the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition from the Fifth District of Louisiana. Arnold, a recent graduate of Quitman High School, won with her piece titled “Chicken Bits.” The artwork features a hen created from blue, orange, and brown collage pieces.

Arnold's piece is now displayed in the halls of Congress alongside other winners from districts across the country.

“I look forward to the Congressional Art Competition each year to see all of the incredible talent we have in our communities. Lauren’s piece beautifully captures the unique array of agriculture we are surrounded by in the Fifth District and showcases a level of artistic skill and creativity that I can only wish to have. I enjoy walking by Lauren’s piece each time I am headed to the House floor for votes, and I will continue to show it off to each tour group that comes up for a visit,” said Congresswoman Letlow.
