U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission will receive $22,595,853 for the Port of Caddo-Bossier I-69 Connector. This funding comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s INFRA grant program and aims to enhance connectivity in the region.

The project involves upgrading and extending Stonewall Frierson Road to link Interstate 49 with the upcoming I-69 Corridor Project Frontage Road. According to Dr. Cassidy, "Having reliable roads to connect our ports to the rest of the state is essential for doing business." He emphasized that this development would encourage companies to invest in North Louisiana and contribute to building a sustainable economy for 2050.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, backed by Cassidy, increased funds available for projects like this through the INFRA grant program.
